Hi, I’m Rachel Kerr, DNP, RN
I have a lifelong interest in health and healing, the human body, and the biosphere. After a multidimensional career spanning oncology nursing, earning a doctorate, and working in the climate movement, I found somatics - my true calling. As a neurodivergent individual, I’m running a different operating system than what’s considered typical in our society. This brings both unique and valuable perspectives as well as particular challenges. Somatics has allowed me to dignify my own responses and needs while also providing the pathway for the transformation I’ve longed for.
My work is now accompanying individuals and organizations on their own somatic journeys. I love going deep with people who are committed to their own healing or to that of their team, family, or group. While I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, leaders, healers, and change-makers, I enjoy working with individuals of all neurotypes. I have experience working somatically with leadership development, grief and loss, relationships, self-compassion, immigration, sensory differences, and chronic illness and pain.
I’m nearing completion of my certification as a Somatic Coach with the highly-regarded Strozzi Institute of Somatics, who have created and honed integrative somatic methodology for over 50 years.
I’m also a dancer, a parent (of neurodivergent kids!), a nature-lover, and an equestrian. My backyard chickens provide a steady stream of eggs, laughs, and mischief.
